El Mazatlan in Cave City

Great food and service. We ate here while visiting Mammoth Cave NP (another great place to check out). If your in the area or passing through (it’s right off the interstate) I would highly recommend this place. My bar for Mexican food is high and they met it.

Food was good and price was fantastic. Servers were trying to all help each others with tables and they were getting confused on who was bringing what. We had to wait quite a while for a high chair for our daughter. Would definitely go again.

The Tropical Fajitas are unique and excellent. I would go here again.

Good food and service. At first I wasnt sure about this place because you cant see it well from the road and we thought the parking lot was empty.Once you drove around you could see it was busy. Our server was good to answer questions and cater to what we asked for. My wife got a carne asada taco platter and i got the texana. Both were very good. The restaurant was clean and the food came oit very fast.

A pure delight and one of my favorite stops on our yearly travels. The food is so very tasty! The portions are huge, most things could feed 2 people. The prices are really good. Another bonus - the tea is real, brewed tea. The staff is very friendly. Always a good time to be had there.

I had SUCH a good experience here last night for dinner. They were very accommodating of our orders and the food was yummy. Alejandro (Alex), our waiter, seemed to genuinely love getting to know people and he had us laughing . He even went through the trouble to mix me up some salsa because I requested something super spicy. Thanks, El Maz!

Food was great, but long wait and the social distancing was not there at all.

The Nachos Rodeo was the best plate of nachos we have ever eaten. Steak, shrimp, chicken and pork ribs with peppers and onions with cheese on the chips. Simply outstanding. The staff was very friendly and professional even though they were very busy. The prices are very good for what you get. The picture is of what we took home, more than half gone.

Though I forgot all dish names but the food on wooden plate was fantastic. Besides, the dessert was mind blowing. I recommend to go there if the restaurant is on your way.

What great food. Prompt service, reasonably priced. We were there for the Super Bowl, they turned on all the tvs for the game. A wonderful place to eat, chips mild and hot sauce was the best!!!

Everything was delicious! I had the steak Fajitas and they were so flavorful, the veggies were nice and crispy! The kiddos loved their cheese burgers and fries. And my folks loved their dishes as well. The Victoria we had was ice cold and really hit the spot. Definitely exceeded expectations.

Best Mexican food I have ever had! So delicious! My mom, who doesn't really like guacamole, kept mentioning how amazing the guac was! The restaurant was very clean, the service was fast and friendly! Would definitely go again!

It was great! Service was excellent and the food was melt in your mouth delicious! We were very tired and frustrated and ready to complain, but there was absolutely nothing to complain about!! Will be back when we are anywhere near Cave City!

Food is amazing. They have authentic Mexican food items on the menu. Staff was friendly and courteous and made sure they got the customization correctly prepared.

The food was great, but the bean and cheese dip was to runny besides that everything was good, loved the atmosphere and the way the restaurant was decorated, the staff was friendly and even though the were busy we didn't have to wait very long to get our food, me and my wife would definitely recommend to anyone traveling thru the area!

I know that there are several of these restaurants around. I've eaten at four of them in the area and this is hands down the best one of the four. Service is top notch at all of them and the food is good at all of them. However this restaurant seems to add nice little touches to the plate that I have to ask for at the other locations. The food here tastes a little better too. The wait staff is phenomenal and I've never had one issue with my order not being right, even when I ask for changes. I eat here pretty often.

Stopped on a road trip since this was just off I-65, and it was a much better choice than hitting up any of the fast food joints. The food was simple, but delicious - I got a combination plate and everything was great. The prices were also very reasonable, which I appreciated. The only negative is that the music is rather loud, especially in the restrooms.

Some decent Mexican food, the chicken fajita was good, enchiladas weren't amazing but the chips and salsa we're awesome.Beer was cold and cheap. Overall a good place to eat if you're in cave city.

Everything about this place was great but the food, though well prepared, did not have a lot of flavor. However, you can't go wrong with their Mexican Mojito.

We came here. The salsa was bland, queso was good. Our meals (3 vegetarians) came out as ordered but were so small. As a vegetarian it’s very bothersome to receive a child’s size servings of beans as part of a vegetarian bean meal. The food tasted great, but we were very dissatisfied in the improper portions. I would not eat here again.

Seafood Molcajete was delish. Not fond of the salsas, but the rest was great. Nice outdoor seating area.

We live in Colorado and Arizona and have dined at many fine Mexican restaurants, but this one is by far my favorite! The food is excellent, wonderful Margaritas, particularly the blue one and the service is outstanding! ¡Muy bueno!

Excellent food and service. Great atmosphere. Clean restaurant and bathrooms. Manager was present and assisted servers with the rush. Most customers seated at a large area outside. Tables placed for proper social distancing.

Our first visit to El Mazatlan was a few years back. The food was awesome then and my favorite item was the salsa. I liked it because it was a very simple setup. Tomatoes and garlic mixed mixed together. Our next visit was a year or two later and the salsa changed to something with chunky onions and cilantro. I wasn't happy about that change. Fast forward to last night, we went for dinner. Oh my, I was in luck. The salsa recipe looked like the same as I loved so much the first time I was there.The food is still really good. So much so we all want to go back again tonight for dinner. It's a shame we don't live closer, or we would visit more often.If you're in the area or just passing through, please stop by and try the food.

Veggie fajitas with grilled jalapeno were EXCELLENT! Service was fast and courteous. If you like spicy... Get their green salsa. Great value for the money!

The salsa was watery. Not much chicken in my tacos. Service was good. But I'll look for another place.

My girlfriend and I had a lovely experience there. She proposed to me. I said no. It must have been their great happy hour specials. The food was reasonably price for the generous portions and presented in a way that is slightly more classy than most other Mexican fare we are used to. The steak fajitas I got were great, though I was not a huge fan of the salsa.Staff were also very friendly and seemed to be on their A game in general.Would recommend!
